In standard configuration, the Soloway Swan long neck guitars are equipped with a pair of Dimarzio pickups.   We find their lower output models to be especially well matched with our guitars: clear and articulate, yet warm and versatile.  Our most common combinations are the Air Classic, PAF Classic, or Bluesbucker in the neck position and the Air Zone or Mo'Joe in the bridge position.   For SwanCaster style guitars, our standard pickups are the noise free Area 58 and Heavy Blues 2.

Other pickup makers who we use frequently are Vintage Vibe, TV Jones, Lindy Fralin and Lollar.  Other brands are available on request.

We offer a variety of control layouts and on advance orders, we are happy to provide custom configurations.  For humbucker equipped guitars, the most common layouts include:

-  A single volume control and a single tone control with a 3 way pickup selector and a mini-toggle switch for coil splitting.

- A 5 way multipole switch allowing a variety of wiring options.  The most common configuration is 1) neck humbucking; 2) bridge/neck outside coils; 3) bridge & neck full humbucking; 4) bridge/neck inside coils; 5) bridge humbucking

On SwanCaster style guitars, the most common control layout is a 5 way switch with a master volume and individual tone controls for the neck and bridge pickups.

Additional control layouts are available on request.
