This page is under constant development and will keep growing as we think of more questions.  If there's something you think we should add, feel free to let us know.

Q.  Does Soloway Guitars build any scale lengths other than 27 inches?

A.  No.  The 27 inch scale length is central to our entire design.   We do not offer any other scale length.

Q. Is the price from a dealer higher than purchasing direct?

A. No.  The dealer price is exactly the same as purchasing directly from us.

Q. Do you have a preferred method of shipping?

A. Yes.  Our preference for delivery is USPS  Express Mail.  Delivery is next day, and USPS IS much less expensive than any of the other express alternatives.  They've never damaged one of our guitars and they honor their insurance claims.

Q. What are the differences between nitro and poly finishes

A. Tonally, I believe the type of the finish is not as important as the thickness.  The simple rule is "thinner is better".  The bigger differences are in the way the two finishes age and in the level of protection that they offer the guitar.  Over time, Nitro gains an elegant patina as it ages.   A poly remains pretty much as it was when it was new.  On the other hand, nitro dents and scratches much more easily than poly, especially when the guitar is new.  And finally, while nitro offers less protection than poly, it is repairable.  Poly is not.   We have used both finishes and we are currently offering nitro as a custom feature only.
