I often get e-mails asking me about various aspects of my gear, so here's a complete run down.  If I've missed something you want to know about, feel free to email me.   I'm always happy to talk gear.

GUITARS: In the last few months I've gone full circle with my guitars.  I still have my old blue Soloway Gosling  and everything else is gone.  It's the most stable guitar I've ever owned and the only guitar I had that seems unbothered by the climate here in Guadalajara.  It has the wider finger-style spacing and is equipped with a single DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary, the pickup I've used on almost all of my guitars for many years.

I've also ordered a carbon graphite X7 model acoustic guitar from Emerald Guitars in Ireland and it should be here in a few months.  If all goes well, there should be some video with it by September.

TUNING:  My usual tuning on the Gosling is C# standard (C#,F#,B,E,G#,C#) with standard reserved just for teaching and tutorials.

STRINGS: In 2018 I switched to D'Addario Chrome flatwounds.  I use a standard set of 10's, the lightest set of flatwounds they make.

AMPLIFICATION:  About a year ago I bought a DV Mark Micro 50 Jazz Head and a Buscarino Chameleon cabinet (the passive version).  It's a wonderful sounding little rig.  I liked the DV Mark head enough that a few months later I added a DV Mark Little Jazz Combo.   Between the two, I'm covered for almost any situation I'm likely to encounter and I love the sound.

ACCESSORIES: The Dynarette Guitar Support Cushion is probably the most important piece of gear I own.  I have the large size and I've used it with every guitar I'm played for the last several years.  It has litterally saved my back and my shoulder and allows me to play for unlimited hours in comfort.
