Introducing the Gosling... our first 25.5" scale length guitar After all these years of building guitars eclusively with our signature 27" scale length, I decided to have us build a small batch of three 25.5" guitars. The objective was to see just how much of what I think of as our characteristic tone we could port to the more common, shorter scale length. So far we've completed two Goslings with the third to come next week. * The result is almost exactly what I was predicting (and hoping for). Using the same materials and construction methods as the Swan, the airy high end and strong acoustic properties are still very prominent. Without the tension from the longer scale length, the tone is a bit darker and warmer and the articulation and clarity are not quite as pronounced. The Gosling is built using the same methods, materials and build quality as the Swan. It is available in all the same configurations and with the same options.
